Muppetlabs is a website that Brian Raiter is involved with, and had donated an FTP account and some of its available space for sharing AVIs. Although the website itself is called Muppetlabs, the FTP account itself came to be known among the CC community as Muppetlabs, sometimes abbreviated to ML.
The account requires a username and password which were initially given freely; however, after being hacked, the password was changed and it is only given upon request.
Lately, Muppetlabs has rarely been used, and AVIs are shared mostly through email or YouTube.
