<!-- This is the wiki page explaining talk pages, I have moved the question about directional notation used throughout the wiki to the more suitable Talk:Directional notation page --Cowman_133-->
Question
For level https://wiki.bitbusters.club/Rink there is a way

URU 2D LDL 2R 2U R 2U 2R UR (RUDR 2D) 2D R (RLDL) 3D 2:[2L 2D] ULU 2L 2:[DLDRD] 2R (2R U) D 2U D (3R 2U 3:LU [2L] 2U 2L DL 2D LD) 2D L 2U (2L D) 2R 2U LU 2D R.

Please how am I  supposed to understand the ":" the "()" and the "[]"?

Is there somewhere in this wiki some explanation? Thanks in advance! 185.229.190.131 14:54, 8 August 2019 (CDT)

:Yes, you are probably looking for this page here: Directional notation. We should definitely look in to linking to this page anywhere that this notation is being used. Cowman (talk) 00:46, 9 August 2019 (CDT)

::Thanks for the link BUT it's WAY TOO COMPLICATED !!! For instance, in the level https://wiki.bitbusters.club/Rink, "retraced paths" are not always correct (opposite of U is not always D but U too); under "moves" it reads "In mazes with many dead ends such as Chipmine or Mishmesh, writing every move would be cumbersome; directions inside parentheses indicate paths that will be retraced directly after the parentheses close." It's NOT CORRECT (for "Rink") and it would not be "cumbersome", etc. Plus, English is not my mother tongue and I don't want to read something that complicated and long, sometimes i'm not sure about what I'm reading! The BEST is REALLY to put the whole way, no abbreviation please, no code! Thanks in advance 195.181.172.134 10:49, 9 August 2019 (CDT)
