The turtle is a terrain introduced in Chip's Challenge 2. Turtles behave like a combination of recessed walls and water: with exceptions explained below, all movable objects can step on turtles, but once they step off, the turtles "sink", leaving behind a splash on the resulting water.

Turtles do not sink when ships step off of them. Fire boxes and ghosts will treat them as walls, even when carrying flippers. If Chip or Melinda attempts to push a block of any type off of a turtle, the block will be flicked off: the splash will prevent the player from following.
The turtle is a tile introduced in Chip's Challenge 2. Chip, Melinda, player mirrors, blocks, and some monsters can step on them once, and they will then turn to water tiles.

Red teeth, blue teeth, centipedes, ants, purple balls, walkers, yellow tanks, blue tanks, rovers, and blobs can step on turtles. Gliders will step on turtles without changing the tile to water. Fire boxes and ghosts will avoid turtles. Blocks, ice blocks, and directional blocks can be pushed onto turtles and safely pushed off without needing to step on the newly formed water tile.
