The tent canopy, more commonly known as just the canopy, is a tile introduced in Chip's Challenge 2. It obscures any tile that is hidden underneath it, unless the player has the secret eye equipped. It is first introduced in the level Flea Market.

Canopies are acting walls to ants and rovers, and blobs will never move from a canopy tile to another canopy tile, as if any two adjacent canopies have a thin wall between them.

If a tile containing a canopy is in the radius of a time bomb when it explodes, the canopy will disappear, but everything under it will be protected.
