At the start, go down to the lower part of the level, collect the red key (behind the pink balls) and press the blue button. Go back up across the force floor (it is possible to beat the paramecium by taking the most direct route), and push the block down onto the green button (there is a yellow key under this block). Open the red door (going via the force floors and through the ice corner) and push the block to 2R of the teleport, collect the green key and chip (boosting across the teleport to save time – this can be used on several occasions), and push the block onto the brown button. Go U through the teleport to collect the blue key, exit via the recessed wall and push the lower block 2R (do not step on it). Open the blue door and push the block up to get the fire boots (the pink ball will hold down the trap near the socket). Now teleport U to get the red key and press the red button to clone a walker (which will explode the bomb blocking the socket). Teleport back and move the block onto the trap button nearest the start, allowing the chip behind the red door to be collected. Now press the green button, collect the chip behind the green door, then go through the socket, onto the thief, collect the suction boots, back to the start, wait for the pink ball to pass, and slide to the exit.

To Catch a Thief is the 86th level in Chip's Challenge Level Pack 3. It was created by J.B. Lewis.

390 route: In order to reach the exit, the skates that are picked up at the start must be lost. The only thief is behind the socket.
