Block Party is the 4th level in Chip's Challenge Level Pack 1. It was created by Tyler Sontag and is the fourth of the lesson levels. In this level, the player will learn all about blocks and their various uses, such as being pushed into water to create dirt bridges or to blow up bombs.
Block Party is the 4th level in Chip's Challenge Level Pack 1, and the fourth of the lesson levels. In this level, the player will learn all about blocks and their various uses, such as being pushed into water to create dirt bridges or to blow up bombs.

Block Party is slightly more complicated than the previous three levels, but not by a particularly large margin. The beginning is straightforward enough; simply push the provided block into the water to make a bridge. Above that is another block near some water, but this one is blocked by dirt tiles - no problem for Chip, as simply walking around the block to clear the dirt tiles will do the trick and free the path for the block.
Block Party is slightly more complicated than the previous three levels, but not by a particularly large margin. For the sake of being concise, here are a few areas of interest to acquire a 207:

* In the red key section, push the bottom block into the second column of water first and then follow that up with the top block. Remember to clear the dirt before pushing the second block in!
Now comes the challenge of building a bridge across water with two blocks. Push the bottom block once to the left and then up until it reaches the water. Remember to step on the dirt created by this block, or the other block won't be able to cross. Push this second block once left and then upwards until it reaches the second water tile, allowing access to the chip and red key. With the red key in hand, head to the area left of where you entered and use your key on the red door. Push block 1 once to the right and then as far up as possible, then right once more into the bomb. Push the second block up into the same area and into the bomb to the right of where the red key was.
* To blow up the bombs, push the top block guarded by the red lock followed by the bottom block. When optimizing with blocks, the order in which you push the blocks is very important.

* In the section with ice and force floors, you need to wait for the block to slide and then step off of the force floor sideways. This trick is better seen rather than explained; to learn how to do it, watch the AVI below.
Starting from the tile where the second bomb was previously, walk right three squares and make a [2] move detour to pick up the chip beneath you. Head all the way up to the area with three blocks, picking up the top chip in the middle area along your way. This area is simple enough, as the blocks are simply in this room to get in your way - get to the chip at the end of this room by moving the blocks out of the way, then return the same way you came.
The remainder of the level is mainly simply following the intended path. However, it is worth noting that you are not allowed to lose a single move when going for a 207; if you don't feel confident in your skill level, go for a 206 instead, as you are allowed to make far more mistakes and also don't have to sidestep so precisely off of the force floors, which can be somewhat difficult for a new player. For a veteran, however, 207 should be no problem, thus giving the level a difficulty rating of only 1.

Heading to the area at the right, this room is slightly more complicated as it contains sliding tiles. Push the topmost block right onto the ice slide, then follow it yourself to push it into the bomb. Collect the chip in this area and then return the way you came and push the bottom block onto the force floors. If you are going for the absolute best time on this level, the route through these force floors is a bit complicated; wait for the block to slide across the sixth force floor, then press right twice in quick succession to push the block into the bomb. If this is too difficult for you, you can follow the block onto the force floor and hold right once you get to the end of the slide. Collect the chip that was behind this bomb, then return using the ice slide. Do the same thing you did with the bottom block, but with the middle block instead. This block will go into the bomb behind the chip we just collected, allowing access to the final chip in this section. You should have three chips left by this point.

Return using the ice slide once more and collect the two chips in the middle area on your way down to the bottom. This final area is trivially easy; push the block all the way down, go to the left and collect the final chip, then open the socket to the right of the block and hold a hard left into the exit.
