An insane level is any level which uses Data resetting or the Multiple Tank Glitch. The term insane level originates from the first level to use data resetting: David Stolp's the most insane level ever!, which today is very long for an insane level and is often known as one of the hardest levels ever to exist. Insane levels will not work properly in Tile World, as data resetting and the multiple tank glitch have not been implemented.
