Bonus flags are special tiles introduced in Chip's Challenge 2. Collecting them rewards the player with additional points added to the total score after completing the level. The red, orange, and yellow flags award 10, 100, and 1000 points respectively, while the blue flag doubles all collected bonuses.
Bonus flags behave as acting walls to all monsters, with a few exceptions. Ghosts will pass through bonus flags without interacting with them, and rovers and player mirrors will collect bonus flags, but the player will receive no bonus.
Thieves will halve your current level bonus, unless the player has a bribe, in which case the bribe will be taken and the bonus left unchanged. It is usually wise to collect bonus flags after stepping on any thieves, if possible. If a bonus flag is placed on top of a thief, that bonus will be collected prior to the thief taking effect.
