Welcome[edit]

Hi, welcome to Chip's Challenge Wiki! Thanks for your edit to the Lesson 7 page.

Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything! Geochip1 (talk) 11:30, February 22, 2014 (UTC)

Re:Bold Rules[edit]

Apologies; I was under the impression the whole time that for a time to be declared as "bold", two people had to score it. Blueapple128 (talk) 10:12, December 17, 2015 (UTC)

Chip's Tribute[edit]

Hello!

I'm trying to reach out to active members of the Chip's Challenge community, and I've seen your name here and on the CCZone forums. I'm currently working on a side project to recreate MSCC in a web browser using JavaScript and the HTML5 Canvas, and I wanted to see if this is something that you think the community would be interested in. It's still in alpha, but I've made significant progress in the past month and it's starting to resemble something playable! I would love community feedback on the project as I'm getting close to a feature-complete build, at which point I'll start implementing real levels and enhancements for web browser and mobile play. A public level editor and high scores are something I am definitely going to implement in Beta.

You can play the latest build (10 "test levels" at this point) on my site at runeberry.com/CHIPS/ , and you can also take a look at the source on GitHub . It's a completely free and open-source project, and I would love to make the game more accessible to new players. Any feedback you or others could offer would be very much welcome!

Chip's Tribute: Feedback[edit]

Thanks for the feedback! Movement is a tricky thing to get right, and probably the number one thing I will need experienced players to test. I just stumbled upon the Ruleset page and it looks like this will help tremendously in getting these mechanics just right. A disclaimer: I played CC off and on for years until my 64-bit OS couldn't run it anymore, but have only been researching mechanics in-depth for a couple of months. It's quite interesting!

I'll get in touch with you again when I have the baseline game mechanics fully implemented (still pending are 2 enemies, cloners, ice/force floors, and a few other things). Let anyone you know who still plays that I will be looking for testers and feedback soon! Would the CCZone forums be a good place to reach out to current players?

Any other questions/ideas, feel free to email me at runeberrysoftware@gmail.com.
