Deception is the 114th level in Chip's Challenge 1, and is probably named for the "deception" that Chip must execute to get around some of the monsters. A rather atypical structure combined with some hidden walls in the center cause Chip to be a bit puzzled when he is trying to collect the chips in the center; the rest of the level is simple.
Play south where the paramecium is approaching and sneak west, take the chip on the left side, then 3D 6R to another chip, 4L 3U, and then wait for the fireballs to bounce out and then take the chip. Hide with LD to avoid the sweeping fireball, then collect the two chips remaining on the left, and then drop to the bottom with the teeth.
This can be handled in either parity with equal times, but even step requires Chip to amass the yellow key first and then take the chip from the top, with the teeth just below it, while odd step is recommended for only requiring the chip first and nothing else. Take the ice slide around to another chip, step L out onto the recessed wall, then move 2:[4D (4L)] and down to the exit.
