Klausswergner is the 66th level in Chip's Challenge Level Pack 1. It was created by Rock Généreux. The level is a large open space with a 3x3 grid drawn using chips. Each corner of this grid has footwear for Chip that allows Chip access to the opposite corner of the level where five more chips are stored. In addition to these there are some keys, two teleports, and four Teeth that make the collecting harder. The exit is in the center. The level has an appealing symmetry to it, and the use of all the elements give it some color. The level is delightfully open, so it does not force a strict order of operations and provides a decent headache for optimizers.

Chip begins the level in the NW corner by the skates. A simple approach to the logic of the solution is to first put on these skates, run down to the fire boots, turn east, enter the lower teleport, run to get the suction boots, and then get the chips behind the fire in the NE corner. Next head down to get both the flippers and the chips behind the ice in the SE corner. The details of dodging the teeth here come into play, but as a general rule just run fast and use even step at the start. There is a ring of gravel around the open area, so Chip can always take time and lure the teeth into a corner and then run away from them. Once Chip has collected all the footwear, Chip can visit the NW and SW corners at your leisure to get the chips there. Chip can even trap the teeth in one of the rooms surrounded by locks if Chip really wants to be careful when collecting the rest of the chips.

This video is for the original version of the level, as there is no newer version available currently. Apart from the time limit, the only difference is the ice section, where the corners have been changed around the other way. It is not difficult to apply this general approach to the new version though.

Klausswergner is the 66th level in Chip's Challenge Level Pack 1. The level is a large open space with a 3x3 grid drawn using chips. Each corner of this grid has footwear that allows Chip access to the opposite corner of the level where five more chips are stored. In addition to these there are some keys, two teleports, and four teeth that make the collecting harder. The exit is in the center. The level has an appealing symmetry to it, and the use of all the elements give it some color. The level is delightfully open, so it does not force a strict order of operations.

A simple approach to the solution is to first put on the skates, run down to the fire boots, turn east, enter the lower teleport, run to get the suction boots, and then get the chips behind the fire in the NE corner. Next, head down to get both the flippers and the chips behind the ice in the SE corner. The details of dodging the teeth here come into play, but as a general rule, just run fast and use even step at the start. There is a ring of gravel around the open area, so Chip can always take time and lure the [teeth into a corner and then run away from them. Once Chip has collected all the footwear, he can visit the NW and SW corners at your leisure to get the chips there. Chip can even trap the teeth within the locks if Chip really wants to be careful.

Trivia[edit]

 • This level was first released as the second Time Trial level of April 2012. The winning solution took 67 seconds, equal to a time of 283, by Miika Toukola. The level was altered by the time it was included in CCLP1 to work in Lynx and thus this comparison is not exact.
 • When CCLP1 was released, the bold time for this level quickly became 288 in MS and 285 in Lynx by Miika Toukola. Within a year, the MS score would be improved to 289 and then to 290 by Jeffrey Bardon and J.B. Lewis in 2015. It took until 2019 to find the current 291 Kacper Leszczyński in MS and then finally in 2020 J.B. Lewis also improved the Lynx score by a second to 286.
