A wall is a tile that is impassable, immovable, and indestructible. Walls are commonly used as barriers for all objects, and they are one of the most varied tiles in Chip's Challenge; there are nine types of walls in existence with varying properties and range of effectiveness.

In addition to the wall tiles themselves, many tiles block passage of specific objects through them, and are termed acting walls to these objects. For example, fire is an acting wall to bugs and walkers, and also to all other monsters but the fireball in Lynx. All other monsters will be killed if they step in fire in MS.
